Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Yumly AI you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Yumly AI on Apple devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
3. Free tier and Premium subscription
- The core app is free, including AI recipe scanning from camera, photos and PDF, manual entry, search, filters, categories, labels and tags.
- Premium is an optional auto-renewing in-app subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks additional features such as URL import, AI meal suggestions, automatic cover photos, iCloud backup, App Lock and device-to-device sharing. Current prices are always shown in the app before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Fair use of AI features
AI-powered features are subject to reasonable daily usage limits per device, in both the free and Premium tiers, to keep the service fast and sustainable for everyone. We may adjust these limits over time.
5. AI output — check before you cook
AI-extracted and AI-generated recipes can contain mistakes: quantities, timings, temperatures and ingredients may be recognized or generated incorrectly. Always review recipes before cooking, and never rely on the app for allergy, dietary or food-safety decisions. Diet and allergy tags are organizational aids, not medical advice. You are solely responsible for verifying that any food you prepare is safe for you and the people you serve.
6. Your content
Recipes, photos and notes you store in Yumly AI remain yours. You are responsible for the content you import and share, including respecting the copyright of recipe authors and photographers. Attribution attached to automatically found cover photos must not be removed when sharing.
7. Backups and data loss
Your cookbook lives on your device. We strongly recommend keeping backups (iCloud backup in Premium, or manual file exports). We are not liable for loss of data caused by device loss, deletion of the app, failed restores, or circumstances outside our control.
8. Acceptable use
You may not reverse engineer the app except where permitted by law, attempt to circumvent usage limits or Premium entitlements, use the AI features to process unlawful content, or use the app in any way that violates applicable law.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Yumly AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
10. Changes and termination
We may update the app, these terms, or discontinue features over time. Material changes to these terms will be published on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
